Steven Weinberger, MD, is Executive Vice President and CEO Emeritus, Associate Executive Vice President, American College of Physicians, Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and Senior Lecturer on Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Prior to assuming the role of EVP/CEO in 2010, he served for six years as ACP’s Senior Vice President for Medical Education and Publishing. Before joining the ACP in 2004, Weinberger was on the full-time faculty of Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (formerly Beth Israel Hospital) for 26 years. Most recently, he had served simultaneously as Executive Director of the Carl J. Shapiro Institute for Education and Research at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, as Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and as Professor of Medicine and Faculty Associate Dean for Medical Education at Harvard Medical School.
