Speaker Bio: Joel J. Gagnier, ND, MsC, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Assistant Professor, Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, Director, Lab for Clinical Epidemiology & Research in Orthopedic Surgery (CEROS), University of Michigan

Dr. Gagnier is a Clinical Epidemiologist with research interests including: evidence-based medicine, randomized controlled trial & systematic review methods and reporting, health measurement scales, patient safety initiatives and musculoskeletal conditions. He is a member international clinical research methods groups and boards, an editor and board member of many peer-reviewed journals, he has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers, several book chapters and given over 150 lectures and workshops at local, national and international scientific meetings. He has been awarded several post-doctoral fellowships, and extramural funding NIH, CIHR, PCORI, BCBSM Foundation and the PhRMA Foundation.
