DSC_0242Join us for a talk next Monday, July 27 @ 12pm with visiting guest, Dr. Sailesh Mohan, senior research scientist and associate professor of at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). An expert in non-communicable diseases, Dr. Mohan will give a presentation on improving the prevention and control of diabetes and hypertension through comprehensive community based approaches in India.

Dr. Mohan has academically trained in medicine, public health and cardiovascular epidemiology. At PHFI, he is involved in chronic non-communicable disease (NCD) research, teaching and training. He leads various NCD research projects and directs a course on NCD Prevention and Control for international public health scholars. Dr. Mohan has been a temporary advisor/ technical expert to the World Health Organization (WHO) on NCDs since 2011 and most recently served as an International Professional/Technical Officer for the WHO South East Asia Regional Office on NCDs.
