The mission of the Stanford Center for Clinical Research (SCCR) includes offering educational resources, training, and support for investigators and research staff.  We have invited the Clinical Assistant Professor of division of Nephrology at Stanford School of Medicine, Calyani Ganesan, MD, to provide you with the pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of kidney stones.

At the conclusion of this class, you will be able to:

  • Describe the common types of kidney stones
  • Recognize the risk factors for each type of kidney stone
  • Understand basic medical and surgical management for kidney stones

 Attendance is open to all research staff.

About the Presenter:
Calyani Ganesan, MD, MS, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford School of Medicine, division of Nephrology.  As a general nephrologist, her focused interest is in improving the care of patients with kidney stone disease through comprehensive metabolic evaluation, clinical research, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
