Overview
This webinar is designed for physicians preparing for the ABIM certification exam in Gastroenterology and Hepatology for both initial certification as well as those recertifying. In addition, this webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the core basic concepts of gastroenterology and Hepatology needed for effective clinical practice.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Determine the pathophysiology and diagnosis of key diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology
  2. Develop strategies to manage key diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology
  3. Prepare for initial certification or recertification of the gastroenterology board exam with confidence in answering case-based questions

Accreditation

The Stanford University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation

The Stanford University School of Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The California Board of Registered Nursing recognizes that Continuing Medical Education (CME) is acceptable for meeting RN continuing education requirements as long as the course is certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM (rn.ca.gov).  Nurses will receive a Certificate of Participation following this activity that may be used for license renewal. The provider number is: 0000751.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 9.25 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American  Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to  submit participant completion  information to ACCME for the purpose  of granting ABIM MOC credit.
