This Writing Tricks of the Trade workshop will provide 6 pragmatic scientific writing techniques to improve the clarity and conciseness of your journal manuscripts and grant applications. During the 2-hour interactive workshop, you will practice the techniques with short in-class exercises.
Lunch is provided.
About the Speaker: Dr. Michaela Kiernan is a Senior Research Scientist at the Stanford Prevention Research Center (SPRC) at the Stanford University School of Medicine (SOM). She received her PhD in Social/Health Psychology from Yale University. Dr. Kiernan’s research focuses on testing behavioral interventions that promote long-term lifestyle changes and weight management among subgroups at risk; and developing recruitment and retention strategies of underserved groups into clinical trials.
